Our Mission
AirportHistory.org aims to preserve and promote the heritage of the world’s great airports. The AirportHistory.org Digital Library brings you a selection of carefully curated historic airport images, brochures, booklets and reports from the AirportHistory.org archives, which can be purchased for personal use.
Our Vision
The AirportHistory Digital Library aims to become the largest library for historic airport documents and images. Our aim is to create a collection that will be relevant to airport professionals, academics, students and enthusiasts around the world.
Digital Library content
Our collection will contain the following materials:
- Historic images of airports and airport facilities;
- Airport Master Plan reports;
- Airport marketing brochures;
- Airport dedication brochures; and
- Airport annual reports.
For now, we are mainly uploading on materials covering the period 1940-2000, with a focus on the early Jet Age. Over time we will expand the contents to cover earlier and later time periods as well.
